We are constantly looking for new ways to sell properties... that’s why we have developed an 'Exchange Scheme' to create chains and get the market moving.
What is it?   How does it work?   With another agent?   What to do next?    
Ashtons Property Exchange Scheme is a simple idea that could enable your dream move. Part exchange is the process of exchanging an existing home as part payment for a new property, acting like a house swap. This concept also works well for people looking to release equity from their property.
  Of course both homes need to meet the requirements of the parties involved. Once a match is made we will start the traditional negotiations for the selling prices and the normal conveyance follows. Below is a couple of examples of how it works.   If you are on the market with another estate agent... no problems. We can work along side your estate agent to create the exchange.

If the house you like is with
another estate agent, thats fine. Just make a note of the property details and we will call the agent and find out if your property is a possible match for theirs.

1. Direct Exchange
A direct exchange occurs where two vendors are interested in each other's
      2. Chain Forming
Within a chain an exchange can occur where the vendor at the top of the chain (Vendor A) purchases property from the vendor at the bottom of a chain (Vendor D). This allows the sale of Vendor A’s property to proceed and facilitates the release of the majority of their equity.
